Privacy Policy

The short version

OpenShape3D is designed to work entirely on your device. Your sketches, models, and projects are stored locally and are never uploaded to us. The app does not require an account, and we do not sell data to anyone.

The OpenShape3D app

  • Your projects stay on your device. Models, sketches, and project files are saved locally on your iPad or iPhone. If you choose to export or share a file, it goes only where you send it.
  • No account required. The app does not ask you to sign up or log in, and it does not collect your name, email address, or contacts.
  • Diagnostics. If your device is set to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymized crash reports and usage statistics through App Store Connect. This data is not linked to your identity, and you can turn it off in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.

This website

openshape3d.com uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic — things like page views, approximate region, and browser type. This may involve cookies or similar identifiers set by Google. We use this information only to understand how the site is used; we do not use it to identify you. You can learn how Google handles this data at policies.google.com/privacy, and you can block analytics with standard browser tools or content blockers without affecting the site.

What we don't do

  • We do not sell or rent your data.
  • We do not show ads or use advertising trackers.
  • We do not access your camera, microphone, location, photos, or contacts.
  • We do not upload your models or projects to any server.

Children's privacy

The app and website do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since no personal data is collected by the app, it is safe for users of all ages.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app or website handles data, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Because the project is open source, you can also verify exactly what the app does by reading the code.
